  • 2009 Saturday with Santa ... another great year

    Photos

Karing for Utah Kids moves to a great new location, Saturday Dec 5th, with an 15% increase in the turnout at this years Saturday with Santa charity event. With the help of Canyons School District and Cottonwood Heights City, we were provided an excellent location with a great facility at Cottonwood Heights Elementary. Children began the visit with Santa promptly at 11:50 am and did not stop until close to 4:00 pm. Santa provided free pictures for all, free hot chocolate and snacks, while the roll a number, face painting and drawings provided fun for all. We wish to thank all those who donated plush toys and blankets to our annual event. This year we were able to help the children with Cancer, Diabetes and Trauma, and donated to various Subs-for-Santa and kids in need at a local elementary schools. We thank all of our great volunteers, the help and support of Cottonwood Heights and Canyons school district, and look forward to another great year of helping children in Utah.

  • Our 7th annual Golf Chairty Event update, June 8, 2009.

Great golf course, great hosts. Weather was iffy all day, but we had great participation in our fund-raising event for FCYD Camp UTADA at Talon's Cove Golf Club. The golf tournament raised nearly $7,500.00, enough to send over 40 children with diabetes to diabetes camp this summer. Due to your generousity, no child will be turned away from diabetes camp due to inability to pay. We thank all those who particpated and supported this great cause.

  • 2008 Saturday with Santa, December 13, and it snows...

    Photos

Heavy snow storm for the event. Making the trek to this years 8th annual Saturday with Santa was extremely hazardous. This year featured over 200 blankets and 300 bears, Autographs by Jazz players and lots of fun.

Attendance was down, but donations and fun was at a high. The local papers, Desert News, Cottonwood/Holladay journal was there to record the happening, Fox channel 13 and ABC channel 4 both did stories.

We wish the thank Cottonwood Heights Council for their support and the mayor's attendance. As always... it could not be done without the great volunteers and donations of blankets and bears. As quoted by Butch Jentzsch , founder of Karing for Utah Kids..." From elementary schools, church organizations and wonderful individuals we receive bears and blankets thru out the year, thanks to our volunteer's from our family we are able to turn the donations into funds , fun and another great year .. I thank everyone for their help."

We raised almost 50% more then last year!!

WATCH for next year. as we plan on making Saturday with Santa bigger and better and raising more funds for our supported charities.
