Bears and Blankets – How Can I help

Thanks so much for your consideration to help Karing for Utah Kids. A great project for all ages and groups.

We work year round and donate bears , blankets and other handmade items thru-out the year, but our big event is our Saturday with Santa, usually scheduled for the first or 2nd Saturday of December.

We ask for volunteers to make any type of blanket/quilt that we can sell to raise money for the children we support, or we give them to the charities thru-out the year.

Our needs are for blankets that are larger then crib size, ie full , twin, queen , king. We are not fussy what type of blankets (quilted, hand tied, fleece ect ect) or how they are made.

You can work on them anytime.. Make them at your pace. Make 1 or 100, what is ever easiest for you; just give us a call when you’re all done.

We no longer have a pattern for the handmade bears, as everyone has their own style and it appears to be the best method.

We can help pay for your materials, if you need help, (usually 50%). To do this you need to purchase the materials and keep the receipts, when we get the blankets from you , we will help pay for the materials, so you can buy more and make more. Our policy is to pay for the materials after the blankets /bears are delivered.
